This $15.1M Project involves the construction of a station for the MARC commuter rail service. This Project included building two (2) high-level platforms; two (2) stair and elevator towers; one (1) pedestrian bridge over the existing Amtrack tracks connecting the two towers; miscellaneous utility work; four stairways; two ramps; and miscellaneous site improvements.  Along with the station, we built adjacent parking areas, a kiss-and-ride facility, new handicapped ramps, and sidewalks, and upgraded the entire infrastructure serving the station. The Project was completed around an active Amtrak line, so much of the work was scheduled after regular work hours.

W.M. Schlosser contracted BMC to provide Quality Assurance/Quality Control and Staff for this Project. The Staff included a Quality Control Manager and an Assistant Superintendent. Quality Control activities included submittals/shop drawings, RFI reviews, field inspections, coordination and scheduling of all required material testing and inspections by the testing agency, field layout, subcontractor management, and updating schedules.
