This project involves constructing a new water treatment building next to WMATA’s Largo Operations and Maintenance Building in Prince George’s County, MD. The work includes excavation, utilities, paving, and SWM rain garden. This facility housed a water treatment system that included a chemical tank, pumps, bubbler mixers, and CCTV cameras. Key trades for the building work include concrete, masonry, steel, green roofing, FRP gratings and rails, process mechanical equipment and piping and instrumentation, electrical, and photovoltaic.
W.M. Schlosser contracted BMC to provide construction management. Responsibilities included but were not limited to contract administration, terminating contracts, scheduling, quality control, supervision of project team members, project administration, budgets, claims, project analysis (problem-solving, analyzing, & monitoring), review of submittals, coordination of field activities and subcontractors’ work, subcontractor management, collecting and reviewing the certified payrolls for the contractor and subcontractors before submission, and project execution.
